Our client, a respected Philadelphia-based manufacturing business, is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO)/Controller who thrives in a VERY hands-on small company environment. How You'll Make an Impact:
- Be a Leader: Handle all financial operations, from accounting to the upcoming Microsoft Dynamics implementation, and help drive the company's strategic vision.
- Collaborate with Ownership: Consult directly with the owners on business strategy and operational best practices.
- Broad Scope: Your role will include financial reporting, cost analysis, cash management, HR administration, IT oversight, and more.
- Innovate: Lead the charge in modernizing processes, including ERP system implementation.
- Family Culture: Work in a close-knit environment with many long term employees where your contributions truly matter.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Handle all the day-to-day accounting functions, including month/year-end close and financial statement preparation.
- Communicate results regularly with local and international ownership.
- Conduct product cost analyses and generate monthly KPI reports.
- Maintain banking relationships, cash flow, and payroll/benefit administration.
- Oversee IT systems and manage relationships with external vendors.
- Prepare budgets and interface with auditors for financial and tax reporting.
What We’re Looking For
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s in Accounting or related field with 15+ years of experience.
- Industry Expertise: Background in manufacturing and working in a small or family owned business/ Public accounting experience is a plus.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.) and experience with Microsoft Dynamics.
- Leadership: Analytical and critical thinker and someone who fosters collaboration across departments.
- Hands-On: Comfortable working independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
